Moffet Field – Hanger One Blanks

Out of stock

These blanks were cut from old growth redwood that used to be part of the famous Hanger One at Moffet Field in Sunnyvale Ca. The Navy built Hanger One in 1931 and the hanger covered 8 acres making it one of the worlds largest freestanding structures. Hanger one housed the USS Macon as well as provided services for the Navy’s west coast lighter than air programs. In 1994 the Navy turned over the field to NASA.
